cat's in the cradle

I broke logic today,
signed another petition for the humane treatment
of animals bred to be slaughtered;
it's only right, right?
in prisons the sentenced to die get
medicine and casts for broken feet,
one last meal of their choosing

We're all gonna die
sooner or later,

may as well start a petition for the humane treatment
of humans.
and break logic through the absurdity of the
human condition,
"give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses."

the cat's in the cradle
and the cow jumped over
the harvest moon.

Lou, it’s not so bitter as

Lou, it's not so bitter as it's sarcastic and biting...or supposed to be. lol. Yes, Scribbler, each human being is a world unto itself as far as living organisms feeding off our bodies, inside and out. In turn we feed off the earth and each other. All of it energy of one sort or another. Only humans have the ability to consciously (and unconsciously) make decisions and choices. ~A "Just as what you dream is your own and no one else can observe it, so the world you see is your own." ~ Nisargadatta

but so well said still i'm vegetarian mostly - a bit like the panda, have to come down from the hills once a year or so for my red meat. even then i end up not eating it all - i gag as soon as i let myself think what it is your poem reminds me of 'hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy' in a way - the absurdity of the human condition. love judd xxx http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/TwentyMyPrettyPonies.html
