M

the same old thing

Faith faded some place far
Pickin' up the same old guitarre
Drivin' in the same old car
Sittin' in the same old bar

Much passion in every word
Call me a linguistic nerd

But where's the sense in all my writing
When it's responsible for all this fighting

Honey I wish not to love you anymore
But my inside remains the same old core
While standing on the same old shore
I'll always choose the same old door

Days, months yeah years of trying
And still nothing close to satisfying

I only know what you want me to
You know everything I don't want you to

It's not like I get to have a choice
Surveying my thoughts the same old voice
Underlayed carefully with the same old noise
Getting me back to make the same old choice

The less I give away
The more I get to stay

To you it seems all this is fine
Not even my dreams I can call mine

Once more you'd keep me for now
For hours feeling the same old wow
Then making use of the same old bow
Breaking me and the same old vow
