"A BIRD ALL OF A SUDDEN"

 "A BIRD ALL OF A SUDDEN"

Respect and admiration culled,

as old age blinds are drawn

across the running thoughts,

of life's bright youthful spring

to reach a moment hallowed

by our peers,

where doubts and fears

have lurked in shadowed minds,

see, blazed abroad,

the grey skies fires with colour,

before, smothered by our fears

of never having our voice heard

it is like being of a sudden like a bird,

dropped out of heaven on the wing,

that swoops and turns with joy

it seems, no cares no inhibitions

sling their stones from earths dead bones;

we thought we'd end up unsung,

unmentioned, done,

no voice, no words of quality expressed,

but now find others even are impressed;

what joy, what happiness,

we've made our mark

and dying have no art,

now aged, but shouting loud.

And you sing a sweet song

And you sing a sweet song Ann, I loved your sweet sentiments and flow here. I so often lack suggestions. I come to learn. And that I have. Very impressed. I know I haven't dropped in as much lately. I will try to fix that, always so much to do. Not that I am truely complaining! Love to you sweet Ann of Norway, Julie D.D.

You have such a way with

You have such a way with words. I love listening to older people they have a life time of memories to share, sometimes very funny ones. I had a friend called Lilly, she was 94, lived in London during the time of Jack the ripper, she had some facinating stories to tell. I always love the wording of your poetry, I find I have to read it more than once to get the full flavour, but it's always worth while. Really lovely Ann Thanks for sharing Love Mand xxx

beautiful Ann

And when i hear people complain of their age i say well if your lucky next year will be worst! and they are younger than me! we should cherish every moment we have and age is just a number although of course the more we live the more wise we become! Much love Ann this was really lovely.. shirley harrison

Some birds...

sing sweeter, as they mature, they gain the experience of the passing years. They know what notes thrill us, and place special emphasis on them, there-by ensuring our ear. "Most of us don't like getting older, but we all want to keep doing it." ~ Sir Gee.

Ann of Norway You make me feel as if I really were a bird dropping down to swoop up your lovely words and weave with them a shawl to keep there with me forever when I felt bad or ill or sad, thank you, you are beautiful. Ann
