Minstrel (a tribute to Ronnie James Dio)

Angels and Demons cried when he sang
and terrorized Heaven and Hell
from deep in the shadowlands lead vocals rang
like an ominous funeral bell

Words strung together like bones of the dead
laced by metallic guitar
sprang from his lips and encircled his head
like flames from some nebulous star

he sang about future, he sang about past,
and sang about time's endless stream
melodious anthems that surely will last
as long as disciples can scream

Prancing and dancing on many a stage
hands raised on high in the Sign
his was a visage from some other age
where music and magic combine

Be not aggrieved, his voice rings out still,
in realms where the Gods fear to tread
and for those who honor him it always will
for Dio will never be dead

Perfect rhyming. This poem carries you along with it's cadence. I know how much you admired this man's music. and I am sure he was an artist in his own right. I though was never a fan of heavy metal, some here and there. But no one shold die the way this man did. Your tribute to him is astounding Chrys
