RETINA

mirror stained
like pewter dull
cornea filled with time
the fine dust
of years
come to settle
china in the hutch

the world reflected upside
down

all the years unfurled
some curling at their edge
the many suns
the many moons

and tears of smiles

glimmer in searching
not for whats right there
but in whats in here

what I see

All is swell

I so looked for you and now here you are! sublime is something isnt it to wish to be normal like everyone to not see as I do or think yet thats not it either I love whom I am now just starting how can a wolf be an eagle how can a man be but a man whatever style wolfstyle notwithstanding I can still howl and salivate for baskets still sit and listen to the rivers sweet journey while the wind soothes itself in the tall dark tangle I have not forgotten Esker~

to be behind the eyes… can

to be behind the eyes... can we see clearer? "all the years unfurled some curling at their edge the many suns the many moons" one of the best stanzas i've read...here, or anywhere else what is this gift you have? you take the ordinary...and make it extraordinary "cornea filled with time" such a unique voice you have p, in admiration

Peeling back the paper

behind the papered heart to see what cracks and holes are there does the wind blow through and rain drops make damp huddle to the touch I am warmed by fires of words souls like volcanos hissing building like rivers ember red at night like dusk pouring to hear the purr of the muse the wild tamed but for a moment to be entranced by finesse to feel the hunger I never cultivated minute like fake shell buttons on a purple button down strings of cues holding together the vertabrate of loves forgotten discs of kisses in the dune winds of lust the lash of envy in the burning dusk of leaving and yet I favour forever the wounds of where you loved me

If I ...

may borrow from p: what is this gift you have[!] you take the ordinary…and make it extraordinary Meditative quality here. And here's to blood pressure health. Mine in particular, of course. Your versatility/way with words, your capture of a mood, your astonishing creativity/artistry ... they all go so wonderfully far. Thanx, Chuck
