Killer meets Dawn

Dawn saw him stroll, into the diner
Covered with blood, and sportin’ a shiner
Only she, could see a dirty hunk
A grin was how she shed his funk
Black leather and dark glasses, in a dim lit room
Contradictions needing answers, but not too soon
Hey big fella, come, sit on down
Only diner, in this one-horse-town
How’d you like, some pan-fried squash
I’ll fix some up, there’s the sink, you can wash
After he filled his rumbling gut
She saw she was right, he wasn’t a nut
Just a big handsome guy, been in a fight
Her heart skipped a beat, imagined his night
Killer sat quiet, nursing a coffee
When in rode Jesse, with his rag-tag posse
Julie saw trouble, when he stroked Killer’s bike
With Jesse’s crew, there was nothing to like
He was big and bad… he knew it too
Head of a gang, called the Filthy Few
Hey Julie, fix us some breakfast quick
If you’re real nice, I might give you some dick
Hey Bro, nice ride… I like the flamin’ skull
No chrome though, makes it kinda dull

Killer looked them over, the rag-tag crew
He could slit their throats, before they knew
Why don’t you talk to the lady… real nice
A queen like her, ain’t made of chipped ice
Didn’t your momma, show you how to treat a lady
Maybe your daddy, beat you as a baby
Hold up boys, your breakfast is served
A plate of grits, a big side load of nerve
She knew she didn’t want to deal with the mess
She knew the cost of dealing with Jess
Why don’t you boys take it outside
After the fight, me and the winner can ride
Dawn knew that the new guy, in leather would win
As she cracked her cute smile, [really a grin]
Killer said; “Jess, eat your grub first.”
‘Cause I know you’re gonna get the worst
I’m set, I’ll just wait, drink my cup
Then we can go, and finish this up
The boys filed outside, made a big ring
Jess said; “Boy, want to say anything”
Killer said; “Nah, time for talk is past”
Now I’m just gonna kick your ass
Then Jess brought out his big colt 45
Killer said, ” Jess, I was gonna leave you alive”
But now you’ve made it hard for me to do

Just thought I’d say it, kinda warn you
Bringing up the colt, Jess fired a shot
But where the bullet struck, Killer was not
Moving so fast, saved the big guy’s life
Now from Jess’s chest, stood the large Bowie knife
The Filthy Few howled, their leader was down
The big circle tightened, “Put him down!”
Bad Dog closed in, wanted a piece of this now
Chain swinging, he grunted, “You’re in trouble now”
Killer stepped in, and grabbed the chain as it swung
Twisted his body, and the Bad Dog was hung
He held him from the ground, used him for a shield
As the others let go, with what they had to wield
Bad Dog was full of holes, from all the guns and knives
Now the others starting fearing… for their very lives
The ground was churned, into crimson mud
As the torn up bodies, gushed their blood
Killer was in a frenzy, ripping and tearing
Bloody all over, but way past caring
He chewed the nose from one of the” crew”
Spit it out on the ground, grabbed someone new
There were split heads, brains leaking out
Chests torn open, and blood in spouts
As the spell left him, he looked for the girl Dawn
She was slumped against the diner, her apron still on
She straightened herself, and said ;”Wow, what a mess

I guess that’s the end, of that nasty cuss Jess”
Let’s get what is left into the fridge
Before someone comes calling, over the ridge
After we ride, and relax a just bit
You can show me the recipe for Jess on a spit.
I won’t have to buy any meat for awhile
And I might have you teach me, some new cooking styles
Now Dawn’s Diner is the place to bring your date
She’s got the best burgers, that you ever ate...

Nice write

This reminds of a movie I saw once,I believe it was called bee charmer. I'll have to look and see. But, I love this poem. Nice work. Cowards aren't the only ones who die a thousand deaths. Sometimes heroes do to

Very cleverly done. You work well together. It's not easy to keep the theme on track for something of this length but you did it well. Kudos. I enjoy pieces like this. Jetz
