A Message to Hermes

Sunday. The day of calm peace

when Ra directs Apollo,

while Kronos rests,

to pull a little on the reigns.

Giving us time to take breath;

repose in tranquil leisure;

copy the gods;

spend a day in relaxing pleasure;

prepare for the next week’s onslaught.

So if you inflict bad news

tell me on Satan’s day.

For with the sun I can heal

and await Annit

to bring the love of the moon.

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

Lovely poem Judy

always loved them rosina

fires in winter with the paper and cocoa - the kids happily reading the comics on the back verandah in the morning sunshine in summer leisurely mornings, never having to rush to take off and do something - ha ha in my dreams - always off to take the kids to their sports taxi driving for kinder and friend all the etceteras that parents all know.... if i wanted a nice quiet cup of tea it would have to be before sun-up..... love to you rosina judy xxx http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/TwentyMyPrettyPonies.html

a stary poem! Sundays are never a day of peace for me its walking day just as well i love my boyfriend as i would quite happily sit and watch movies with ice cream all day!!!!! he makes me hike! Much love i found this poem really calming! shirley harrison
