Communication Is Important



Communication 

It all begins with a conversation
Communication that has gone astray
Difference of opinions does not have the last say
Work it out a better way, be sure to listen too
Talking it out for it is not always about you

Understanding

Communication is what it's about
be true to your words, try to settle it out
Try not to let anger get in the way
there may be something you need to say
Listen and understand with an open mind

Differences

Being honest with yourself, and true to others
never allow an open argument be left unclosed
Feelings may get hurt, for all you know
a relationship turned cold, is it lack of words
Does it always need to end up cold and curse
Good communication will keep things going
good or bad, the knowing, the unflowing
Talk it out, try to work out your differences
less they settle inside you
to fester in your body like a strangled weed

Conversation

Forgive and forget, go on with life
there is no need to hold up such strife
Many people have a bad day, let that be told
for angry words, sometimes left out in the cold
There is a better way to understand
Communication goes hand in hand
Think it out, walk away for a minute
go back when emotions have calmed
Think things out before you speak
animosities may reach their highest peaks

Communication

I don't know if this

Meant to come out as a poem, it was something I was reflecting on the word of Communication(s) as important it is we use it everyday of our lives and how I for one think of it. There is always room for improvement in this subject as we go about our days and relating to words. Mona

communication a good theme to let loose ere can`t see to many in neopoet having to much trouble with it but a wort while write either way , it`s all about listening as i see it so many people need to be heard its harder to listen and respond we are all human we all get it wrong from time to time , breaking down barriers with conversation , all in all good one this ,,,,,,,,,,zigs

For visiting and yes I should of rememberd the listening is a bit just as important in this area. Like before you go off on someone stop and think first and try to let the communication open up some. If there is an angry issue then walk away while the emotions are high, less you say something that only words can do and that is abuse. Some folks have been mentally abused and this can ring louder to one's soul then the physical abuse. We all may say something wrong in our lifetimes through our communication but to realize that it was wrong and to offer up an apology soon after is what true communication is about. At least it works for me and I am just a wee soul in this vast universe. Exactly right Judy!!

As I just stated that to Ziggy it is so true to life that communication is a two way thing not all one sided. I have accomplished many things in my life due to my good communication skills and I at times have fault in this area also, I have learned that to master it you have to work at it. Makes life so nice and yes it would be a dreary world if we all thought to the same way, for none of us is perfect in any sense of the word. Yes Yes my Rosalina friend

I always say life is too short for grudges and heartaches. I share alot with all and then realize sometimes this, slow down Mona as you may share too much of yourself and then people may use that against you, I stay true to myself and love to communicate with alot of people from all over the world and in my own community. My mom used to say I got in trouble for talking too much in class and yes I am a talker and I am also a great listener very much so. I have been the counselor here in the family and my friends they love to come here and share with me or have me help them out in some way or another. In my line of work so many people ask me for my card that they want to talk to me. I always have an open ear and heart for those who need help and am happy when they come back and say thank you so much, you changed alot for me. If I can do that with one person and they come to tell me that it made a world of difference in their life then I consider it a blessing in several ways. Communication all being the start of it and like Judy says the listening too is so important. Some folks do not have time for others or care to listen for they are tired or just don't care to communicate. I may have to walk away from someone who constantly intimidates me or makes me angry for I know then that this type of relationship/interaction is not of a healthy nature for my self or the other person. Then I let it go and go on with life. Some people do not want to listen or communicate and that is their right so I never take it as an offense towards me. I just them be. No harm given, no harm taken. See Rosalina I can communicate with you for you have excellent communication skills your own self. You've hit the nail on the head with this one my friend ... all I can say is bravo ... my first marriage crumbled from abuse and a total lack of communcation ... it takes two to make a marriage work and I couldnt do it on my own ... now I ahve someone in my life that I can talk to without fear of being hit etc ... lifes so much different and oh so much easier to bear ... well written hun you got me to ramble lol love and big hugs Jayne-Chloe x x x ("Quote:-For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. Yes I know of which you speak of. The communication was not there back in the day, which lacked and caused much hardship, probably alot of folks can relate to this women and men alike. Thanks for the visit I may someday right a book on this very broad subject of communication. A vital source of understanding.... TIME well spent is TIME well lived

Yes this was a piece that I like to talk about and of course not all will agree with it, it is just I approach communication as a skill also and try to do the best I can also with everyone I meet. Now I shall go fix that part and yes you are so good to capture these things in the poems and I love you for it!! Your a smart artist and great too. For your sunny dispostional way. Yes I do think that communication and respect go hand in hand. I know how important it is to have good communication and interactions. Alot of people want to talk with me for they say I communicate to them, Some people have a hard time with this, I used to but many years ago I said no it is time to change and communicate those feelings and words. Of course not all the time they are recieved in the same manner but low and behold it sure beats beating around the bush and leaving things left unsaid. It is a skill that we all need to improve on from time to time as everyone has thier way of communicating to one another.
