A Chant of Time
I chanted for a mystery
to be unveiled
the cotton of time
frayed
I was allowed
to see, but only
the meager
slices of a moment
cherished
I watched
weathered hands
plucking comets
from the sky
as they were laid
in her eyes
awestruck
as white sage
from heaven
was woven in her hair
coffee from Havana
shear layered
on her skin
now shimmer
the gentle bare
from winds
that course
under her feet
the spectacular
that I was witness
Goddess
of my creation.
