May…I
Giddy with the wave of intoxicationI rooted myself to the groundWarmth of new sun rodeOn my welcoming shouldersShorn grass on warmed earthSweated with the soft shower just passedThe richness steamed into my nostrilsNostalgia tumbled to unlock the memoriesOf youthful gambolling in cut grass fieldsCocked head sourced warm coconut waftThe brazen gorse, voluptuous petals onVicious spikes, so feminine in its deceitAlluring but deadlyI stood fixatedWith care I could discern the blossomsWhitethorn, cherry and the faint whiffOf willow catkins,Powder stained on velvet podsIn that momentI was at one with all around meMerged in all the sensesFused with MayMy birth month
