the sleep of Lovers
I watched you sleep
last night
a Moon-God
breathing
a storm came,
you awakened--
smiled the smile
of shattered marble skies
embracing me with cornflower eyes
lovers, we bring rainbows
and light candles in each other's dreams,
the scent of Lobelia
pressed
into a page.

smiled the smile
of shattered marble skies
embracing me with cornflower eyes

and light candles in each other's dreams,
the scent of Lobelia
pressed
