A Letter to Pericles

Ah, Pericles only if you can seeThe new democracy One that talks up a storm  But has yet to deliver  A democracy that ironicallyFeeds off average ignorance       The perfect Greek tragedy Greek playwrights couldn’tHave written it better The cradle of civilization Left helpless in Athenian streets  Waiting for a way out As Greek children  Take things in their Own hands Demanding to be heardRather than ignored By overzealous politicians  That know how to put on a show Welcome to democracy Doesn’t it stink of ignorance

Plato’s Republic is not

Plato's Republic is not Democratic. ;-) Love your stuff, Paul. Love, Sophocles "Just as what you dream is your own and no one else can observe it, so the world you see is your own." ~ Nisargadatta
