Besides the River
I walk besides the stream
They call it the river
Of no return.
I walk aimlessly
As the waters leave me
Far behind
As they merge with eternity
And
Seek of me
To bide my time…
Slowly, but with a stable gait
I continue my walk
Silently all alone
As the water down
Thames has flown
Then
When I reach the horizon
My walk ceases
Any motion,
As I await
To be pushed and submerged
In the vast ocean…
