ACCEPTANCE

A loner browsing through the web
  my interest at an all time ebb
  I came upon a site by chance
  and thought that I would take a chance

So I stole a furtive look
  a wondrous scene my eyes partook
  for there I saw:freeform,haiku,
  sonnets,and forms I never knew

there all at once,and in one place
  none called the others a disgrace
  each taking turn,as if the norm
  some spoke in more than just one form

As I sat there with mouth agape
  a tiny thought took furtive shape
  perhaps in this room that I see
  were those who'd accept even me!

I slipped into the window,then
  not knowing if I'd find e'en one friend
  I slowly pecked out garbled line
  and everybody said"that's fine"

They saw behind my clumsy fingers
  perhaps some type of wordsmith lingers
  I was lucky and I know it
  for stumbling onto NEOPOET
