fall in line

FALL IN LINE

The harsh reality

Is the life I now live

killed my individuality

I used to be imaginary

And be outside the norm

My artistic freedoms a cut out

I must conform

I shaved my head

I cut off my beard

I am forced to FALL IN LINE

I sleep forever not so deep

In white shirts and neckties

An ant or bee trapped in a hive

A drone without a mate

I serve a queen

And will never be

Able to love or leave

I used to follow a different street

Now all I see is pavement

Stay inside the yellow lines

Forgettable and expendable

creative juices solidified

follow the rules of fools

you are now just a tool

 corporation is my life

FALL IN LINE

This conformation

freedom ripped

now I am caged inside

the box of life

So regular

So ordinary

I must hold on to something

Keep tight my dignity

This is reality

I have lost my humanity
