Silent Missives (for him on Mother's Day)

Silent Missives

writing is my solace,
my redeeming compensation
for the times I cannot speak
to tell of my myriad feelings.

my thoughts are sometimes
too complex to express
in verbal communication;
often it tears my heart.

so I compose poetry,
hoping you will understand me.
often you do recognize me
in the intricate lines.

rarely do you find confusion
in these intimate missives.
the feelings I dispatch
often touch you deeply.

so I will continue to write,
mainly to and for you,
although it is unclear
to anyone else; I am hidden.

you even warn me when
I reveal too much of myself,
so I feign fiction
to cover my overexposure.

Loved this piece Golden

Happy Mother's Day to you Golden girl and I loved this piece, This part being the most profound writing is my solace, my redeeming compensation for the times I cannot speak to tell of my myriad feelings. And thus a poet is born. Love, Mona xoxox TIME well spent is TIME well lived

Dear Rosina

I'm not much of a talker unless one gets me started on my loves or my pet peeves. And then I would rather write it out. Always, Cat

Exactly how a true poet is. Man, you hit the nail on the head with this one and what a brilliant hammer of a pen you have used to create and express. Bravo. You are brilliant. Wonderful poem. XX
