adoration

eiderdown sullen and chilled
blows about the trunks of trees
like black legged swans
while he water swims

the day glistens
and is full of brash music

Mothers hands

how they held me in happiness and sadness bandaged up the hurts and soothed the fears the laughter and smiles I remember the sweater of wool she knit expensive and time consuming and beautiful I wore it out long after her death She was my mother and I love her

i was going to comment on

i was going to comment on your poem, then scrolled down to find these words about your mother these words, for me, are the poem beautiful...so beautiful after my grandfather died, i wore his woollen vest until it fell apart we can be 40, 60, 80 years of age... we are always the child of our mother...
