Gather Together (poem for Annie)

We gather together to write our writes
Some read of dark, some read of light

The ink's still wet upon the page
It knows no time, it knows no age

Many a word shall come and go
We share a style, we share a flow

Write of the heart, write of the mind
It may be a haiku or may be a rhyme

A writer may write for one and all
For it is their gift, it is their call

Whatever it is, are we kin to a muse
We write of life, we write to amuse

Search in your soul and then your heart
For the words you write shall never depart

Reach for a word, speak from the depths
A writing of words lay upon your chest

We gather together to write our writes
Some read of dark, some read of light

Thanking you again Green You know I feel the same way too as my poems are not of all light either, as we all have dark days each and every one of us. Afterall we can't all see the forest for the trees sometimes but know that the sun streams it's light in between many. Thanking you for a double comment here and glad you liked it.
