Thrilled savagely

Thrilled
Savagely.

Prowling, growling,
pouncing on words.
Taken by surprise
they reveal
the primal
viciousness
of me.

Come hither!
I coax you
into my danger zone
ground point one
is me
can you see?
the danger, the rewards
to be consumed,
voracious my appetite,
be with me
be me

lose you.

and I lose me.

then we see
what is we

The language and imagery are superb!

A worthwhile theme and a brilliant write! There is so much to applaud about this poem I scarce know where to start, so I'll just pay homage to the great intellect that created it!

And you said that going outback did not inspire you Jess! Good read, honest. Surrendering to the animal is not always the answer. But it does feel good. Julie D.D.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said “That which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful is also quite clear. Between these two is that which is ambiguous, which most people do not know. One who avoids the doubtful safeguards his faith and his honor.” “Faith” designates blind acceptance of a certain ideational content, acceptance induced by feeling in the absence of evidence or proof. Jess,

The best one of yours I have read. The simpleness of the complexe nature is brilliant. the subtle undertone is screaming to be heard. I love every word, the structure and the thoughts provoked. Well done my friend. Live, Laugh and Love (and don't forget to write) Tink

Hey Jess

Really enjoyed this. The melding of individuals to see what becomes of the sum of the parts once they forget themselves in intensity. The ego of being at the center in the start of it, challenging, coaxing, cajoling, then transforming into one single intimacy larger than the mere sum of its components, filled with possibility. The pleasure of that joining, without thought or worry of consequence. This is what I love, simple words that evoke such passion and response in me. Most excellent. its strange where poems come from

I had been dwelling on the conjunction of violent words and joy for a while, and at the same time feeling blocked to writing anything, then after a Neopoet chat I forgot everything, just thought about the words, and mostly excluded words, and this emerged. Yet it felt even to me that there was more to it, that I needed my readers to find. Thankyou for that.
