Forgetting You.

You told me everything would be okay
Then you shattered my heart
Telling me to move on
And that everything will fall into place

As days go on,
I'm praying that you will return
But there's still no sign of you
Why did you have to go?

I lay here tonight
Wondering why I'm wasting my time
Your gone,
There's no returning

So as of tonight
I'm erasing your memory
To me,
Your gone

But no matter how hard I try
Your still on my mind.

As things start to get easier,
They also get worse
I hear a knock at my door
To my surprise its you.

You ask for forgiveness
There's so much to say
But how to say it
So I think I'll start with...

You told me everything would be okay
Then you shattered my heart.
Telling me to move on
And that everything will fall into place

But don't worry about me
I've finally moved on
Erasing your memory
And forgetting your name

So as of tonight
Your only a dream
To me,
Your gone!

I like it too Emmah

The poem shows strength, and the fact that you decided you'd be better off without him was a hard but wise choice. Most of us have had to make at one time or another...well done. Rosina xena465
