The Sound Of Silence

As night fallsThe city sleepsTo the soundOf sweet violins  Only oneUnfortunate soul Listens toPain’s monologue That has no end  His eyes Filled with Unending  tears  Hiding his Sadness from the world As he falls in loveWith the sound of Breathtaking silence  He waits by the port For that ladyThat has his heartUnder her spell Will she come todayOr will he listen To silence Once more

This poem beautifully describes the thunderous silence we hear when waiting to hear the voice we yearn for. ...perfect! ;)
