Little Plastic Bottles
Theres a trick
and a flick
not always so clean a twist
the bottles of tan
and within the light protected
opauqe
is the oils that calm the waves
the salts to keep the middle
ground when the riot of the
mind sounds
klaxon whinning in the ears
and the spin of the gears
ratchet up drawbridges
and output mode
seeing into what is merely
dust
the smoke and mirror show
the little plastic bottles hold
me afloat when I want to
dive into the depths
knowing something there
and keeping what is here
old freind depression wanting
to keep the regression
but stop
take the dose
and forget about most
not everything is a hint in
the tint
not every switch needs a
twitch
coffee and Olanzapine
seroquel and Lorazepam
Epival and Trazadone
I dont mind the doctor
loan of advice
and stay free of
the dark vice
focus on the plan of Now
living life like I never
learned how
and the cool day of
overcast is something
alive
something that thrives
now that Im learning to
leave the shell
