Fallen Like stones
Longing for these memories
that once
were held close
by two such loving people
indeed years
had changed them both
wandering in circles
each differed as signs
aiming for happiness
in desolate times
gleaning the wants
souls life in being
before taken in laughter
now lost us each seeing
that love can mean more
than a physical touch
or lonely days shared
using each as a crutch
to love is a beauty
a feeling not known
to many who share life
now fallen like stones
by the wayside of loving
janitor's of thought
now who lust convenience
a past life has taught.
that once
were held close
by two such loving people
indeed years
had changed them both
wandering in circles
each differed as signs
aiming for happiness
in desolate times
gleaning the wants
souls life in being
before taken in laughter
now lost us each seeing
that love can mean more
than a physical touch
or lonely days shared
using each as a crutch
to love is a beauty
a feeling not known
to many who share life
now fallen like stones
by the wayside of loving
janitor's of thought
now who lust convenience
a past life has taught.
