In the still of the night

In the still of the night...

as I lay with you,
your roughened hand upon my skin,
moonlight dancing
on your silver hair...

my eyes are gladdened
at the sight of you.

Long after I've forgotten my name,
what I was doing
and where I live,
I will remember you-

your crooked smile
and eager air,
your roughened hands
and silver hair...

              I will remember you...

and I will hide my face in the stars
to cry aloud your name.

In the still

I thought this to be beautiful. I loved the ending! ______________________________________________________ Income-tax forms should be more realistic by allowing the taxpayer to list "Uncle Sam" as a dependent Anonymous

I wish I could retain your positivity

with my mother and sister both declining in alzeimers I can only see grief and despair. Beautifully written. Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible, "the alleged short-cut to knowledge, which is faith, is only a short-circuit destroying the mind." [Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged]

My step father is going through this too and it does show and it does affect the members of the family, as for me it is sad too. Many prayers going out to you honey for all you do for your parents. Much love Mona TIME well spent is TIME well lived
