Black out the screams

I hear the silent screams
in the distant roars
and know they are
at it again

I've tried ear muffs
and playing Rob Zombie
so loud, the headbangers
from three streets over
are still bitching

the agony seeps through
and I can no longer
shut it out, they torture her
and when she fights back
I no longer wonder why?

mother earth is pissed
the fuck off

but I can smile as I know
shes going to have the last laugh,
unless we wake the fuck up?

I am betting black

Great poem, congrats on yet another spotlight!

I wasn't sure if the silent screams you refered to were those of Mother Earth or "voices"...I often listen to loud music to drown it out...either way, you describe perfectly our plight, Mother Earth and at times, ours...sometimes I hear sounds or screams and things that aren't there.. It seemed to me the poem started to be about you and the voices, and then went into the plight of our Earth, going from an individual world to the entire world? Am I accurate? I hope you feel better soon, and tell those headbangers to leave you the fuck alone! Love and hugs Ink sister, Jhena

Dear Jhena

in this case the silent screams are mother earth but I use music in the same way sometimes but I always use it for mediation and relaxation ... best therapy in the world music ... the pain of mother earth was what I was feeling at the beginning the earthquakes etc all the nature tragady of the plant of late ... what affects the world affects us all love in ink big hugs JayCee thanks for the read and the great comment btw ("Quote:-For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.-Ivan Panin")

I've got an idea?

Open your window and blast out a Patsy Cline song...don't tell anyone, but I like Patsy Cline, but a lot of people don't, and that should drown out them annoying noises...Seriously, lovely write JayCee. PS. I love Heavy Rock too, so I'm a complicated lady??? Rosina xena465

I can imagine your face when writing this.

Scary, lol. Yes I would be right behind you betting on black. Ah, Mother Earth, where would we be with out her. Great write. Yep, she grumbles alright with an ache in her belly that will one day explode, then the shit will hit the fan, or us. We need to treat her with respect, after all, we are one. Loved it Aunty JayCee.
