The voice, the voice
The voice, the voice.
I wear these gloves, these gloves I wear,
to protect the hands that write.
I wear these spectacles, I wear,
to help improve my sight.
I wear these shoes, these shoes I wear,
or I would have bare feet.
I wear these trousers, these trousers I wear,
because they look quite neat.
I wear this jacket, this jacket I wear,
to help keep out the cold.
I wear this hair, this hair I wear,
It thins as I grow old.
I wear this skin, this skin I wear,
because it is so thick.
It helps keep in my blood, my blood,
and stops me getting sick.
I have these arms, these arms I have,
to help protect my own.
I have these legs, these legs I have,
and never walk this land alone.
I have this mouth, this mouth I have,
that I can have my nourishment
I have this mind, this mind I have,
so my thoughts are never spent.
I have these bones, these bones I have,
that I can stand erect.
I wear my heart upon my sleeve, my sleeve,
and pray you will protect.
I wear this ring, this ring I wear,
to say you and I will be together.
And we have such a precious life,
and it has seen much weather.
I have these eyes, these eyes I have,
that I will hope to see injustice.
I have this nose, this nose I have,
and hope you will not notice.
I hear this voice, this voice I hear,
and so these words appear.
If you can hear, the voice I hear,
who then, speaks in our ear.

I have these arms, these arms I have,

I have these legs, these legs I have,
