Caught in this web... to shine

caught in this web and it feels like I can't go home
Altering patterns of thoughts ebb with the tide
The mind grows tired in its skepticism
and all the crumbs are carried by the ants

just cause is questioned in my philosophy
where does morality and logic lie true?
and you and I and all are just chaos
wrapped in fine dressings, only to spoil

wars between hog-men and extremists reign
Supremacy bringing men to their knees
no peace, not just yet, we're building
and destroying, refining and again, creating

hollow minds of old age torn from youth
forget the dreams, the spirit is left a-stray
fall to obey paper, metal and digit codes
Planning for tomorrow, forgetting about today

seek not, seek not, truley let your spirit ride
For we know not many things, but what of joy
Spirit as a toy, that should not gather dust
in play everyday, to rid dis-ease, to shine

Wow!

Bloodstone, normally when I comment on a piece I select lines or a stanza I like best, but you have me dumbfounded with this one. I like them all, I wouldn't change a word while it is in the state of a poem. w It would make a great song with a simple chorus, something based around the "seek not, seek not" Great imagery and thought provoking too. happy to help mould into a song if you so desire. I think it would be very interesting to see what a rivet-head and a metal-head could put together. what harm could it do to try. Mould away, HS, Mould away. PS HS, what is the style of music you employ in Spasm? A friend and I where tryin to get it. Excuse the ignorance.

A collaboration

I think we should try something, a cross over with metal and industrial...should be a blast! I will mould away with this piece. Music style - well the genre is called Electro/darkwave. the spoken version here on Neo was just a bare version, of the original. Electro/darkwave = layered sythns and drum machine. If you recall N.I.N. first album, Pretty Hate Machine, similar to that style, unfortunately for me he chose to evolve into a mess of noise.
