HEADLESS HORSEMAN RIDES

Murder meets a ghost
riding from the grave
gallop gallop through
the cloak of night
wielding death cast in
steel the fallen real .

The Devil`s fire lasting
expression trophy taken
gallop gallop souls to
reap the dead have fallen
headless heap .

From the hollow he rides
to where the sun divides
the tree of the dead where
mercy bleed , from the roots
of where he rises gallop gallop
vengeance cold .

Cold sweat and fever from the
flesh of the non believer , evil
eye riding by the taken die .

Dear Ziggy

This one in needs a little work but its on its way to being a awesome poem ... like Manawa I thought of sleepy Hollow as well ... if you would like I have some suggestions ?? let me know and if you want,I will make some small changes that I believe will smooth it out love and biggest hugs Jayne-Chloe x x x ("Quote:- Death is the great adventure beside which moon landings and space trips pale into insignificance. Horseless Headman

Ziggy, brilliant! I love the repeated 'gallop, gallop' and the whole poem is a whirlwind of evil. I wouldn't change a word, it flows perfectly for my eye and it has a tempo, one that gets faster and faster leaving the reader breathless and checking his head is still attached! Great theme, good fun and good job HS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "With all that I am and all that I could be, I walk this earth and yet nobody sees me".

Dearest Ziggy

THIS poem gave me chills! Ever since I can remember, the tale of the Headless Horseman has been one of my favorite stories! You do it great justice, here! Always, Cat p.s. I forgot to tell you my favorite lines: From the hollow he rides to where the sun divides the tree of the dead where mercy bleed , from the roots of where he rises gallop gallop vengeance cold .

Dear Enda

I close my eyes and push submit lol glad you didnt mind me playing with it here is the finished product sorry i took so long Murder meets a ghost riding from the grave gallop through the cloak of night wielding death its cast the steel falls real . The Devil`s fire everlasting the expression trophy taken gallop souls to reap the dead have a headless heap . From the hollow rides where the sun divides the tree of the dead where mercy bleed , from the roots of where he rises gallop to gallop vengeance cold . Cold sweat and fever sheens a fleshy non believer, as evil rides by to take to die there is my edit hope you didnt mind too much love and hugs JayCee x x x ("Quote:-For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. heLLO , thank you so much it is great to get YOUR twist to my words and i know you put your time into it because you liked it and that is even better and means more to me i love the ending you thought of and its not as different as i thought it might be ,my only thing is i thought the repeated gallop gallop added to the pace of it other wise your edit to me is perfect but I am no expert and i love you for doing this out of your time many thanks and irish blessing ,,,,,,,,,,,,zigs xx

Dear Enda

If I had of changed too many words it wouldnt have been your write anymore and I never want to do that when I make suggestions ... I thought gallop in itself says it, and moves the pace forward but as I said always suggestions so happy you liked what I did with it ... I often get ideas but sometimes dont want to seem like I dont like something when I really do ... thanks for letting me have some fun with your piece ... and I did love and big hugs JayCee x x x ("Quote:-For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.-Ivan Panin")
