Their Famine

starve the naysayers
starve the dream killers

there are no true paths
just the imagined
brought forth

soulless filled with spirit
taken from the body
and shot outward

forward into entropy
safe in its sovereignty
yet vulnerable all over

to the personal taint
dream killers cultivate
in ear shadows

selling it back ripe
and false in a
farmer’s market of doubt

shun fruit bought
back from the mongers

they’ll poison you
to speak legends of failure
as they pick seeds
from your waste

brave the empties living
on a spirit’s droppings

leave no dribbles of life

sup your imagination
on any invisible table
cheering adventure
with hot soul full

starve the naysayers
starve the dream killers

Like the tone...

Fisher, Though I can't say what this poem means to you or to me, I love the tone. It feels dangerous, like it's against the law to speak out this way. It has an expose feeling to it. Will return to contemplate further. You are a favorite poet of mine. Thanks, Lisa

Thank you for your kind

Thank you for your kind words! The poem was pretty much written as a call to arms after I heard some friends casting doubt on my current adventure/ career in Korea.
