Dark the irise lake
float this sturdy craft
amongst the wild glade
of lily leaf and flower
fresh bow line cut
the trail
and glisten paddle
dip
you whom loves the
scent so strong and
beautiful
the white wisdom
of cupped head
the long trailing
stalk reaching
anchored to the
black silk botttom
smile as you pluck
them like stars
from a new night
damp and dripping
in your hand
like fruits of gladness
