burn
only fools fall asleep
in the first suns days
the robins still singing
hopping for meals
and now this
"quit laughing its goddamn painful"
I smile at your beautiful skin
peeling like old parchment
"you should just curl around some
stones like the snake and peel
it off like a glove!"
"I'll peel you like a glove" and you
throw a pillow and then howl
oh my love I shall peel away
your forgetfulness
roll over now and lets start
the other side
thank goodness you had some
covering
the robin is still singing when
the dusk orb is golden
and heavy
when the cool cream and cloth'
do their magic
and sultry shadows
sink through the quiet house
and dreamplay rests
where needed
its safe its dark almost
and I can come out
night is my realm
