The Magician
With a gesture he'll confuse you,
his intention is to deceive,
his hat and pockets are loaded full
yet, there's nothing up his sleeve;
no one can know his motives,
why he does the things he does,
after careful consideration,
he does them just because;
he seems in control of everything
as he enters through the door,
he changes things to nothing
and the crowd still screams for more;
his powers of legerdemain concludes
each illusion with a flair,
so that his prestidigitation skills
are both astounding, and quite rare;
the mystery surrounding him
goes way far back in time,
with an ability to maneuver props
he's like a ballet dance, sublime;
capable of the impossible,
his moves are lightening quick,
creating more and more believers
with each and every trick;
and try as you may, you'll not posses
the precision of his skills,
he'll never tell, nor would he sell
how he give his audience, thrills;
and when he's through performing
while the crowd gets set to leave,
almost everyone who witnessed him
admits that they believe;
but, the proof that magic does exist
for him, is profoundly wise,
he conjures not, to convince the crowd,
but, to glimpse it.....in their eyes.
his intention is to deceive,

yet, there's nothing up his sleeve;
no one can know his motives,
