Poplars
The two trees stood tall
with their branches
touching the sky
their frail leaves dancing
in the lithe
summer breeze
limbs bowed gently
heard were sighs
as they bowed
in a grandeur
against the summer
sunlit skies
I thought: how beautiful
with their branches
touching the sky
their frail leaves dancing
in the lithe
summer breeze
limbs bowed gently
heard were sighs
as they bowed
in a grandeur
against the summer
sunlit skies
I thought: how beautiful
