The Summer Sun

The summer sun rises high in the sky,
For everyone to see, all the passers-by.
The summer sun makes you feel warm inside,
It's there all day, has no where to hide.
The summer sun lights up the world,
It starts the conversations, all the chirping birds.
When the summer sun sinks back into the sea,
Everything stops moving and talking, even me.
The next morning, the summer sun, "Hello" we hear it say,
As it's time for another beautiful summers day.

Don't force yourself to write,

write what you feel and know. Especially what you feel strongly about. I liked your other two poems so far, this, not so much. The best bit is It starts the conversations, ... Everything stops moving and talking, even me. See? that's when it is something special to you that you are sharing. Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible

This is a poem that might

This is a poem that might look like this in free form rather than rhyme: until the morning sun the summer sun rises high in the summer sky, all the passers-by feel its warmth deep inside even shadows have no place to hide when the summer sun lights up the world and begins lengthy conversations of chirping birds and when the summer sun sinks back into the sea, all is silent, even me Just sharing some thoughts, ~Anna "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." ~ A Course In Miracles
