there was so much everywhere
depression caught him like a loveless clutch
sitting in the chair
the rifle neath his chin
he pulled the pin
and scattered his thoughts
like his unsown seed
across the tiled ceiling
and his heart shed
a fountian of tears
in a final geyser gesture
running down the lazy boy
chair
his posters
his walls
staining the dark pool of night
neath his posture
the beautiful eyes
haunted beyond the youth
the electric guitar and
synthesizer
the chevelle parked in the
garage
his mother prepared sandwichs
for the father until arthritis
twisted them like her pain
of loss beyond use
and he drank and became
verbose
and sullen
walled behind his
pride
while his son turned
to dust in the plot
and the room fell silent
till they tore down the
home
and nursing room
time wore out on them
both
