I Regret I Fear

I regret, I fear, that you were ever here
love so intense, I feel too much to my chagrin
not better to be in love and lose
better to have that love at any cost

languishing in desolation
wish I could keep you at arms length
you envelop my heart
supine in my grief I repent at the altar of my emotions

wracked with regret I’ve let this wound fester
repair the chasm, let the lesion coagulate
irrevocably in love , still resolute

at the risk of plagiarising Piaf
no I do not regret
I fear I do not regret

Regret is...

a dish better not eaten. You are getting so much better, so quickly, that you are fast earning a place for yourself, here at Neo. Keep on doing what you are doing, and you will be in the spotlight one day. This one was served with a dash of regret, and a load of sorrow. I see your throbbing heart. ~ Gee P.S. Did you really mean [alter]? Or was it altar? I would love to think that is was a play on words.

I have to agree with Gee, you are getting so much better. Do not let poor spelling mar your beautiful works. Always, Cat
