Shadow's Death
Sun fades
Behind depressive clouds
Leaving Shadows
To have their way
Alone in a corner
They find her
Wreathing around
Like garland on a Christmas tree
Tying fragile legs
Pinning delicate arms
Creeping through the crevices
Of wounded soul
Paralyzing the heart
Killing the spirit within
Blood pours
Like red rain drops
Splattering against walls
And floor
Eyes once a brilliant
Shade of blue
Turned milky white
Rolling up to the sky
Mind screaming WHY?
As quickly as they came
They slipped into the night
Another tortured soul
Taken from harm's way
May she rest peacefully
If there is such a thing
Behind depressive clouds
Leaving Shadows
To have their way
Alone in a corner
They find her
Wreathing around
Like garland on a Christmas tree
Tying fragile legs
Pinning delicate arms
Creeping through the crevices
Of wounded soul
Paralyzing the heart
Killing the spirit within
Blood pours
Like red rain drops
Splattering against walls
And floor
Eyes once a brilliant
Shade of blue
Turned milky white
Rolling up to the sky
Mind screaming WHY?
As quickly as they came
They slipped into the night
Another tortured soul
Taken from harm's way
May she rest peacefully
If there is such a thing
