Shadow's Death

Sun fades
Behind depressive clouds
Leaving Shadows
To have their way

Alone in a corner
They find her
Wreathing around
Like garland on a Christmas tree

Tying fragile legs
Pinning delicate arms
Creeping through the crevices
Of wounded soul
Paralyzing the heart
Killing the spirit within

Blood pours
Like red rain drops
Splattering against walls
And floor

 Eyes once a brilliant
Shade of blue
Turned milky white
Rolling up to the sky
Mind screaming WHY?

As quickly as they came
They slipped into the night
Another tortured soul
Taken from harm's way

May she rest peacefully
If there is such a thing

believe it or not

I thought of that in the shower...stupid things you think about while you are in there!!! Sometimes it is the only place I get a few minutes of peace and quiet to collect my thoughts and that was the result of the other night's session with myself. So glad you liked it!!!!
