A Bridge to Nowhere
She held me to her bosom
I fed on her warmth
these sacred moments
just went on and on
where this was leading
i didn't know then
the chord was severed
yet there wasn't any pain
slowly but surely
i sensed this bond
each time i cried
she quickly got around
i didnt know then
what was her name
i just knew
she was always there...
A bridge to nowhere
was all i could perceive
each time i raised my arms
her arms streched out to receive
the first time i stood
on my wobbly feet
she kneeled before me
clapping in glee
i cried aloud "Momma"
she,"Oh My Sweet Baby"
she held me to her bosom
and jumped excitedly...
That bridge to nowhere, now
keeps bringing me to her grave
each time i lay roses
"Oh My Baby" she says
the tears held back
soon burst out of nowhere
bridging our souls
from here to out there...
