granite stones

the new leaves received the rain
like emerging butterflies
received their share of sun
in the stillness before the need to fly
we live so much in what is forgotten
the vase in the glass case
awaiting an occasion for flowers
the lilacs that tomorrow will bloom
the bodiless carved head on the wall
the burned down candle waiting to be relit
in the tear that we left by the polished granite stones
we pretend are permanet

Very subtle one this Barry if I get the picture?

Ann of Norway Oh the picture of the contents of your room, in your mind, the most beautiful beginning with the damp leaves being compared to the damp just-emerged butterfly so so particular and atmospheric Barry. The vase, the empty vessel, yet the vessel of your mind not empty. And the tear, the head, the flowers all contained in the tear by the grave of a lost one, which we mistakenly feel will never dry. Very subtle one this Barry if I get the picture? Love Ann. permanet.....permanent?
