The Day the Earth Shook

Tell me...
what are the chances that I would see you today?
Of all the minutes, in all the hours of all the days...
why today?
The first day we glanced at one another...
since you silenced me...
My love for you will die with me...
No man will ever be you...
I will live this life alone
while you deny me
My earth shook violently today
extracting my soul
devouring any chance of restitution
I would give anything
to know your mind, your heart...
Then the earth shook
and all I could derive
was how much more apparent
forces render us...
I will never break my vow to you...
I will die silenced
yet know my love
Destiny and nothing else
dictated our earths... shaking

A love poem

with it's unique qualities. It moves nicely, Corina. You might try it without the last three lines for more of a final impact/drop out (an idea just for a try) Truly, Mark Resilient Flexibility
