HAVE I NO HARVEST BUT A THORN?*

Diminish the desire
I beseech Thee -
let the surfeit reach me.
Squeeze this beggar's Heart
replete with excess,
so it should not want for more.

Forestall this fantasy
castigate these superfluous schemes
Let me stand knee deep
 in a field of clover dreams,
four-leaves a plenty.
Let me no longer feel
this empty.

Dear Boni

perfect in all senses of the word. Except I don't understand the punctuation after the word "empty" Favorite lines: Forestall this fantasy castigate these superfluous schemes Let me stand knee deep in a field of clover dreams, four-leaves a plenty. Let me no longer feel this empty….. Always, Cat
