Your Love
Your Love
Your love for me abounds
In the voice of a poet
You are sincere in your thought
But I’d wish you to know,
I am no poet at all.
I am a lover of souls
I my love define.
As for your elevation of me
In your thought dear friend
I am just a poet of sorts
Come to my fold,
I shall let you hold
The flavour of a writer
Who can compose poetry untold?
Come and enjoy
Have some fun
Those who own me are none.
You are a budding poet
I know
In your heart does love flow,
But I am a candle flickering
On the edge of time
This I thought my son like friend
You ought to know.
None the less
My regards to you
May a greater poet,
the Lord God
Make one out of you.
