I love you my sweetheart

On my way to you, my dear,There can be no obstacles,I go through the winter rain,I put up with the unclouded midday summer sun,I see through the darkness of a rainy night I look at you,And I see a work of art.You are like the morning summer sun,Rising above the ocean,Your face, when washed and made up,Is the rarest sight on earth. To love youIs to give you my heartTo give you my heartIs to love you My sweetheartMy strawberryMy ice creamMy honey-sugar I love you sweetWhen the light shines in the darkWhen the stars light up the skyWhen the sun gives way to the moonWhen the moon gives way to the sunWhen lightning flashes through the skyAnd the clouds cover the moon I love you lotsWhen the bees crowd the sunflower treesWhen the butterflies spread their wingsWhen the roses bloomAnd the lilies grow I love you my sweetheart  I love you afreshWhen the long grass and the tree leavesWhen the dust and rainfallWhen the kites and the sailsWhen the platform lines and the flagsWhen the parachutes and the windmillsDance to the music of the wind I love you anewWhen the belly-dancers belly danceWhen the South Africans blow the vuvuselaWhen the British knightWhen the Chinese kung-fu kickWhen the Germans design yet another luxury carWhen the Americans rapAnd the Brazilians samba I love you trulyWhen the parents parentWhen the partners partnerWhen the romantics exchange giftsWhen the wedding bells ringAnd lovers pour their hearts I love you my sweetheart I love you deeplyWhen the moonlighters moonlightWhen the writers writeWhen the readers readWhen the celebrities celebrateAnd socialites socialize I love you dearlyWhen the tourists tourWhen the viewers viewWhen the hunters huntAnd admirers admire I love you wholeheartedlyWhen the rainbow appears in the cloudsWhen the aero planes appear on the radar screenWhen the rivers overflowWhen the clouds gatherAnd it does not rain but pours    I love you soWhen the wind blowsAnd the rain falls I love you moreWhen the rich live in luxuryWhen the kings and queens,Sneeze in the comfort of their palacesWhen musicians belt their hot tunesAnd artists marvel at their work I love you lovinglyWhen actors and actresses,Go through their linesWhen athletes out sprint the competitionAnd toddlers learn to walk

Thanks for your comments

Thanks for your comments Mona. What can I say? It's just one of those poems I guess. Love is one of my favourite subjects and I wrote most of my poems about it. Thanks and keep well. Regards Thabo
