The Liar
You ask me why i quit talkin,
Well babe i thought it plain,
I'm thinkin 'bout just walkin,
Because the rate i lie to you is plain shockin,
And it seems i can't refrain,
I lie to you 'bout where i been,
And things i never done,
I lie to you 'bout who i am,
And where i stand in life,
I've lied for many reasons,
Each as pointless as the next,
I've lied through every season,
Simply to meet a selfish need,
I say i'll call you,
But then i won't,
I say i'll stop by,
But then i don't,
I know i've let you down,
Time and time again,
But baby i've decided,
It's time for us to end.
Well babe i thought it plain,
I'm thinkin 'bout just walkin,
Because the rate i lie to you is plain shockin,
And it seems i can't refrain,
I lie to you 'bout where i been,
And things i never done,
I lie to you 'bout who i am,
And where i stand in life,
I've lied for many reasons,
Each as pointless as the next,
I've lied through every season,
Simply to meet a selfish need,
I say i'll call you,
But then i won't,
I say i'll stop by,
But then i don't,
I know i've let you down,
Time and time again,
But baby i've decided,
It's time for us to end.
