Papillon sparks (to Lady Jayne)

Someone said
all sparks must burn out
in the end...

Here is a spark
with a butterfly heart
it will fight
flap its wings
and fly
into the storm

it pushes on
its wings are sore
and yet it flies
on and on
into the storm

Will you remember me
my papillon spark
when you have found your way
to the eye of the storm?

When all is calm
and you are bathed
in the light?

I will remember you
my papillon
your spark will burn on
in my dark and stormy night

Darling, now, just don't put down your guns yet
If there really was a God here
he'd have raised a hand by now

Your wings are strong
my papillon
as you fly on

and escape

Dear Nina

This piece is a wonderful tribute to Lady Jane. But it also stands on its own as a poem. My favorite lines are: Darling, now, just don’t put down your guns yet If there really was a God here he’d have raised a hand by now Always, Cat

Ouch, Cat,

you picked the lines that I stole from a song by my fav band! But I agree, brilliant lines, shame I cannot take credit for them. I am happy that you think this is good enough for our Jayne. Yours, ~Nina

Dear Lady Nina

Ann of Norway This is lovely indeed and has the right tune to fit with the echoes of the wing-flaps of Lady Jayne, the feathered flight flashing in so many myriad colours as she goes. And what an ending too. Love Ann. P.S. Don't know the song.

Nina

A lovely piece to send to a friend and travelor fair, my son calls me Papillon, which as I know is a butterfly. I was working on board a ship 60 miles off the coast of Ireland and a butterfly came aboard, that is some flying and in Africa they use to fly past the house for three to four days. The ones in USA fly something like two thousand miles. A tribute to our Lady Jayne a strength and an influence to all of us as we journey on, thank you Nina it is well deserved, Yours Ian.T
