A Sea of Suds

We stand around,
     Audience to the inanimate,
Too timid to approach the iridescent clouds.

A brazen raven flies,
     Becoming enveloped
in a sea of virgin white,
As momentary solitude erupts,

Before being broken......

The audience takes wing,
        Multicolored feathers fly
                Bursting the pristine dream,

Diminishing it with their prescence,

Corrupting the corners of childhood innocence,

Opening my eyes
          to the understanding of why
God guards the gates of Heaven

                so closely.

Out of all the many Four letter words I am aware of, I only like four… LOVE, LOVE, LOVE and LOVE Your words are astoundingly lovely But they encompass Only one facet Of love… Recall the moment you were born Your mom was your unknown But most loved love Well done as you share Your love with all, Without love The world There would be no wherewithal. LOVED BY ONE AND ALL

Welcome back, Blue,

finally getting round to writing again? Hope your year has been going well so far. I like the imagery in this one a lot, especially the second stanza. The image of the ravens and the white sea is particularly strong. The multicoloured feathers add to this, though I am uncertain whether feathers can burst or whether they sort of pierce (?). By the way, do check your spelling of iridescent and erupt again. Or was that on purpose? And if I may, I'd like to advise you to ignore Loved's comment. This very same comment has been posted on various poems by this person. Yours, ~Nina

Oh Blue we have missed you!

Yes loved likes to cut and copy her comments and prove she didn't bother to read and is only commenting for herself. I would have gave you 4 stars, but I thought I would give you the extra cause of the inconsideration. Won't make it better, but its what I can do. I loved your imagery and thought that feathers bursting worked well. Funny how I thought that what I got out of this is how the audience can spoil the show, and then the comment you got. Good write! So true Julie

You got the point of this one (YAY - it's nice to be understood for once) and then added a great observation about the one comment I received. Oh the irony, right? hahaha lol
