enough with easter already

so let me get this straight
god creates a kind
in his own image
and gives em a proclivity for sinning
and sure enough they sin
making em unfit for his company
the only fix for this mess
is for god to send his son
who is totally without sin
to suffer horribly and die
so god can raise him from the dead
hey i welcome the coming of spring
as much as the next guy
but give me a break

Man created God in his/her

Man created God in his/her image. However, there is power beyond my comprehension. I for one, am not so arrogant, needy or cruel to want anyone to suffer for my sins. I have suffered enough. ~A "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." ~ A Course In Miracles

Yes

Yes, our "sins" generally seem to have a way of bringing their own punishment, don't they? Thanks! :-,?

Oh my

I have no constructive criticism to offer at this time. I just wanted to say that this is an effective piece and I snorted aloud at the end. Good flow, good vocabulary and talk about serendipity. I've just written what I would consider a complimentary piece from a different angle. Gird thyself my good man for the inevitable "witnessing" whose stated intent is to "save your soul" but whose actual purpose is to try to denigrate you for not holding the same beliefs others insist are true. I may be compelled to comment, at times, not because you cannot deal with them but because I just will not be able to help myself from joining in on the fun. Zombie Parade,

Zombie Parade, indeed. However, symbolic or not, Pamela. The world is what it is--the result of untold misery brought about by beLIEfs that have never once been thought through to their logical conclusion. How many sheeple does it take to bring in the light of awareness? Just one. Me. You. ~A "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." ~ A Course In Miracles

From the Hip

By no means do my poems always try to say just what I, Rob Graber, think; but this one does. Thanks!
