Burnish
you have had your meal of my ego
tearing down the paper crown
and tinfoil rooms
I can feel your talon words
strip flesh from my wounds
There are scraps of infinity
circling like rasp voiced
angels
and your hand upon me
warm
and sensitive
when I tell you I Love you
I will feel the shadow
of time
invade my heartlock
and the door to the masque
will open
I will greet you
smiling through my ache
this desiring entity of life
falling like ice from limbs
in March
