Broken daisy chain

BROKEN DAISY CHAIN

The daisy chain is broken,

The sun has set,

The trees are bare,

My heart still bears the crown of them,

The memories are there,

Why winter had to come in spring,

So hard to take as true,

For now the skies are leaden,

They’ve lost their brilliant hue,

For I have lost my you,

Who made the stars fall from the sky,

No longer can I sing the joy of you and I,

Now I’ll grow a new tree,

And plant it in my heart,

To bloom another year.

The memory will waken,

When summer melts my woe,

And even warm my wounded spirits,

When autumn comes with snow.

Ann of NorwayI went straight

Ann of Norway I went straight there and commented and hope to look at more of yours, one gets caught up in things here and time flies and and and well that's it isn't it? Thank you it was started in my waking moment and I had to grab my iPhone and write it down beneath the bedcovers this morning. Love to you Theo from Ann

This is one of those

This is one of those heart-achingly beautiful, simple and honest poems that brings one to silence. Love you, Anna "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." ~ A Course In Miracles

Ann of Norway What does one say to that? Thank you Rosinella You too have a way with words and meanings, all your own too, you have an individuality that is particular and interesting, so keep at it, I shall keep enjoying your poetry too. all the best

The world’s best writers, Including me, Sorry, I may not still be On the hot list, But all the same I start again. All the world’s best writers Write poetry in their dreams As there’s none To yell at them nor scream None to look over one’s shoulders To count the wee moments, During which the poet smoulders In the ashes of a dying fire Then rises a new voice Totally brilliant entire Hark, Listen to me As my voice says softly, I am the beginning I am not the final end, Even so just Listen to me Just listen to me. What blasphemy! No one ever Lends an ear to me No meat nothing to chew, Simply please eschew. loved one

Dear, dear Ann,

this is such an Ann-ish write, full of the beauty of you. I know it's hard to see such a poem from a technical perspective, so I will leave you alone for now with my suggestions. Just give me a shout when you're ready. Yours, ~Nina

I shout!

Ann of Norway Nina Nina, you don't have to treat this as a precious thing, expressions are personal maybe, but a poem is a poem and is everybody's property and can be turned inside out by each individual, and back again, and the writer can take it or leave it; you wouldn't strive to destroy the message of a poem but rather try to improve the quality of the poetry, for that I am open to all suggestions you might make and take them, or leave them!! You are after all a more qualified teacher than I can ever be in the scholarly view of poetry not knowing all the 'ropes', I swing free but it would have been interesting, in afterthought, to have studied it enough to know what form I was using, and understand the history of poetry better, as Joe does. Love to you dear Nina and thank you for visiting my poem in the first place. Ann. Once the bird has completed his song, he makes a new one, so too the poem, the next will be a new one, the first has already reverberated away on the passing winds.

Apropos precious

Ann of Norway As we are taught not to feel precious about the things we create, so we must follow that good advice. Because if we do think that we have uttered, r painted the something perfect, then we shall never develop - we become complacent, static, within it. Every creation of man can be improved and probably best by the interchange of ideas, betrween like-interested people where the sensitivity of understanding and feeling is mutual. Must go haven't checked this but tant pis! Ann with love to all.
