LOVE'S GREAT WOMB YOU BLOOM

 LOVE'S GREAT WOMB YOU BLOOM

Cherries red and rosy,

some deep dark burgundy and others scarlet like the setting sun;

shining cheeks of ripened rouge, sweet, succulent, juicy, dripping

nectars from the bees and moths, their busy spring of visiting

from flower to flower to flower, pollinating unawares

the bower of love's great womb,

that holds the generations, now in spring,

you bloom.

With shaking dancers palest pink or white,

the wild trees standing tall and proud,

sweet, pungent spectres in the night,

the rows along the grassy parks,

transport our souls to thoughts

of secret gentle caresses' in the tresses of your dress,

as petals fall they touch our face,

with graceful flight they bless,

to cover ground just like a lover,

so exquisitely sensitive, other,

intense to his every move, to send the rippling joy

to every corner of his being,

how we love and love the cherry's fall of snow,

and know,

another year will go to join the rest,

as is life's flow.

Thank you for enjoying Ephtickle

Ann of Norway I think we could all write a CHERRY poem don't you Eph? I once inspired the others to write about the moon, and it was such fun to see the variations. So I challenge you to write a poem about the Cherry!!! And all of you, we can be inspired by Anna and Barry in the Spring of their romance. Thank you for enjoying Ephtickle, I appreciate that, Ann!! P.S.There are many wild cherry trees and they are the first to bloom in Britain among the hedge trees where they have been fortunate enough to escape the hedge cutter knives!!!! My mother ran our shouting across the valley when she saw the local farmer levelling the hedges, and she saved some trees as he was kind and listened to her pleas and left one her one there, but they weren't the same!! They were called Maisie's trees after that. I hate it when PARK PEOPLE come in and TIDY up, they spoil so much so many birds nests and exciting insects homes.

A lovely comment from you L

Ann of Norway Red, red cherry how you shine, you almost seem to glow, your round silky shape can glide into our mouths, where teeth sink in, destroy your orange-yellow flesh, and juices flow to every sense, including that of smell, you fill our mouths with taste delicious, as we reverently feel, we eat of nature's quality, our minds to concentrate, forget the world about; your wonderful appeal, so sweet, so fresh, so firm, so moist, you have it all in you, like polished stones and twinkling eyes, we love you Cherry dear. You answer sometimes with what one might call a poem so I did this time! Ann

Takk judyanne

Ann of Norway I tried to get the WHOLE of the cherry into it in all ways, perhaps I left out the sound of the eating of it, squash squash! Num num, they have some, many, cherry's on Norway's west coast, by the edges of the fjords where the mountains still have white summits, or glaciers, and the blossom is 'something' even the N's go to see; beneath the trees are the yellow suns of the dandelions and the ladysmock trips around between them in her dainty pale mauve manner among the green, green of the grasses and the blue of the fjord, the sky and the blond haired girls eyes, ah yes that is a sight for all the world to enjoy. The cherries are sold beside the road when they ripen, just like the strawberries and other produce along the main roads they wait under their little tent-like roofs, and one can even leave the money in a box and take one's berries without anyone being there to see, that is now unusual in other parts of the world!! Love to you and have some cheries when they come, they are perhaps ther now? Annnanya.
